  1. Ready to get started! I’m excited to have the skills to automate my property management accounting work and impress the boss. And it won’t hurt to know how to analyze data for next year’s fantasy football season 🙂

  2. Hi community, I currently hold a position that requires basic excel skills, however I have grown the team and with growth come new challenges. I no longer can get operate effective with minimum knowledge so I need to grow in this area to have the ability to lead. I hope to become a leader in Excel to lead other in this path as well.

  3. Hi everyone. I’m retired now, enjoying grandchildren, hobbies, and trying to get caught up on all the personal things I didn’t do over the years because my jobs got in the way. In my work life, I used Excel but not extensively. Usually working with large data sets with tons of data that needed to be cleaned up before we could run database applications against them. Usually that was a column by column affair, pretty much a slug-fest as I remember it. Now I’m doing a genealogy focused One-Place-Study trying to learn everything I can about a little railroad town in southern North Carolina – and a bunch of that work deals with Excel again and large data sets (census data). So I’m looking at this course with hopes that it will help make my job easier, more repeatable, and more accurate along the way. Thanks.

    1. Welcome, Naif! 🙂 Thank you for posting! I added the “5 levels not 4 stages” item to an internal Excel Campus list as a potential enhancement in the future. We appreciate you pointing this out!

  4. I’m very much looking forward to this course! I know I have so much to learn and it’s nice to have found a resource that is highly structured and organized. However, I am unable to click the “Mark Complete” button on this lesson. It is not showing the button as a clickable item.

    1. Hi Tammy! That’s wonderful to hear! Best of luck on your learning journey, and I’m sure you’ll make great progress with our well-structured course! There is no complete button on this section “Mark Complete” buttons are on the lesson pages. Thanks! 🙂

  5. I’ve used Excel for a long time, but there are lots of advanced features to learn. Could someone point me to the assessment quiz? I’d like to start there, but didn’t see a link to it anywhere. thanks!

  6. Hi, I have been using excel a long time for financial modeling, but only started using more advanced data management features like Pivot Tables in the last few years. I learned a lot from your free content on YouTube (Thank you!) and am see the benefit in becoming more proficient with in Power Pivot and Power Query.

  7. I participated in the webinar last Thursday, and really excited to learn more about Excel. I believe (and the test will likely prove me wrong) to think I am a #hustler (at least I’m not a #bored) user. I’ve used Excel in its many forms since before Lotus 1-2-3 was around and Excel had to incorporate functions for Lotus users.

  8. Just signed up today and look forward to learning more about Excel. I am currently the go to person at my work for Excel. That is sad as I consider myself a novice. I have been doing the linkedin learning and watching videos as I can, but when I saw this organized course I knew this is what I needed. Now I hope to learn a lot more to knock everyone’s socks off when I am truly the Excel Pro.

  9. Thank you for offering all the learning opportunities! I’ve used Excel for many years and hope to learn more about macros and VBA. So glad I signed up for these courses!!

  10. Glad to finally get started. I’ve used Excel for many, many years and I’m saddened at how much I didn’t know!! Very much looking forward to all of the useful training!! Thank you!!

  11. After searching random YouTube posts about excel, I finally enrolled in the Elevate experience this evening. Excited to see and read a lot of my fellow members about the excel subject. Looking forward to determine my current level !!

  13. Just in here to say Hello to all and I like the new Excel Campus. I’ve been a member since 2016 but took a couple years off as I semi-retired and focused on being a Medicare Advisor. Looking forward to reacquainting and Elevating Myself with Excel.

  14. Hi,
Can you advise why the file cannot append in the same column after a new file is added?
The row and column is added in a new append sheet but it created a new column although it shows the same name.

  15. Hi Everyone, I have joined this Excel community today and I look forward to engaging with you in my aim to improve my Excel skills from my current basic level. Thank you.

  16. Hello, I’m new to the site today. I have always like working with Excel but really need to improve my skills so I can be more productive at work and hopefully gain better work assignments ( I do temp work).

  17. I hope to increase my Excel skills. For many years I have used the very basic functions in Excel which have not always been the most efficient and many times did result in the analysis or presentation I was trying to achieve.

  18. Hi I completed the webinar and joined enrolled in the course. I am looking forward to improving my knowledge and skill level in Excel. Used it extensively years ago, but for the past five years only used the basics.

  19. Subscribed this with high hopes , It was strongly recommended by my Friend & after introductory session video i hope it will be a great platform to covert my analytical ideas to reality.

    1. Hi Suhail!

Welcome to Excel Campus. We look forward to helping you achieve your goals. Please let us know if you have any questions or clarification as you enter the program. Please say thank you to your friend on our behalf.

Thanks, and have a nice day.

  20. I’m excited to delve deeper into Power Query. I am a corporate accountant who deals with a massive mount of data and creates monthly reports and analyses on that data. Cleaning and transforming the data before analysis takes much more of my time than it should so I’m looking forward to learning how Power Query can help automate the process. I’ve been working with Power Query here and there over the last year and have gained a basic understanding, but I want to learn more advanced uses to help me daily.

    1. Hi Shari!

Welcome to Excel Campus. Thanks for sharing what you do as a corporate accountant. Power Query will help you automate the process. We look forward to helping you achieve your goals. Please let us know if you have any questions or clarification as you enter the program.

Thanks, and have a nice day.

  21. I’m looking forward to learning about, and really utilizing Power Query. I’m a cpa who has been using Excel on a daily basis since it first came out in 1985. From what I’ve seen, I think Power Query is one of the most revolutionary changes to ever come along. While I’ve gotten familiar with it by way of your free YouTube videos, I am excited about completing your Power Query Course and really starting to implement and apply this to my work. Thank you.
    Steve

    1. Hi Stephen!

Welcome to Excel Campus. I agree with you regarding the Power Query. For me, it’s a game changer in Excel. We look forward to helping you achieve your goals. Please let us know if you have any questions as you get into the program.

      Have a great day!

    1. Hi Bob,
I’m sorry to hear that. That’s a weird one. You shouldn’t need to login to Vimeo to view the videos. Do you know if your employer blocks Vimeo on your network? You might want to check with your IT department.

      Thanks!

  22. Hi Jon, I’m excited to get this course going! I have been using Excel longer than I want to admit, but need to get deeper into it and find faster/easier ways to do all the things. I’ve tried using youtube videos and have found some great tips but not the deep level I need. Hoping you are the ticket to my breakthrough! Excited to pick everyone’s brains on the forum. Here’s to everyone’s success!

  23. Hi Jon, I am looking forward to getting started and getting back to refreshing my knowledge in excel. I am glad this is self-pace because my days can get pretty busy at work, but I am going to give every effort to complete as many courses as I can within a month. I tried the training program at my workplace, but it was not very intuitive it was supposed to be real-time, but most of the time the instructions and training were hard to follow. I have been following you since 2010 and you have made life pretty fun with excel, so i am jumping in with great hope. 🙂

    1. Hey Karen,
It’s so great to have you joining us! I really appreciate you following me since 2010. Wow!! It’s been a long time and I too am still having fun with Excel every day.

I completely understand how things can get busy at work. I hope you can block some time out for the program. We want you to get the most out of it and know that it will ultimately help you save time.

Please let us know if you have any questions as you get started with the program.

Thanks again and have a nice day, Karen! 🙂

  24. Hi Jon, I just signed up for the first time. I’m very excited to dig in to the training as I start a new job as an AP analyst and need to refresh my excel knowledge as well as learn VLOOKUP and Pivot tables and more.

    1. Welcome to Excel Campus, Debbie! Thank you for sharing that with us.

We look forward to helping you achieve your goals. Please let us know if you have any questions as you get into the program.

      Have a great day!

  25. Hi,

Just wondering how can I download the materials again for the courses I have completed? I have downloaded in once to my company computer, but now I want to download it to my personal laptop. Is there an option to view/watch courses that have been marked as completed? I just signed up today so still getting a hang of it. Thanks in advance

    1. Hi Michelle!

Once you are logged in to your account, you can download it again the same way as before, and you can watch it again even if they are marked as complete.

I hope this clarifies. Thanks, and have a great day!

  26. Good summary, spoken at a good pace – easy to get bored with a speaker who speaks slowly, or seems to like the sound of his voice.
Great that you can get a certificate at the end of the course. VBA is challenging to learn so it is good to have recognition and the certificate provides third party independent acknowledgement that you have done the work.

    1. Hi Andrea,
I’m sorry to not reply sooner. You can click the Courses link in the top header bar, then navigate to the Start Here course for Elevate.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks again and have a nice day! 🙂

    1. Thanks Peter!

Great question! Yes, we are planning to add training on modern formulas, Power Automate, more on Power Query, and more.

Of course, let us know if there are other topics you are interested in.

      Thanks again! 🙂

    1. Thank you, Tangela! I’m happy to hear it. We have more planned for the dashboard in the future too. The search/query feature will also be getting some updates that I’m excited about.

      Have a great weekend! 🙂

  27. Hey Jon, 🙂
It would be nice if the list of courses section was in order that you recommend taking the courses. Currently the 5 levels of the Elevate program are at the bottom of the list in reverse numerical order. So I could start at the bottom and work my way up, but is there a suggested order for all the extra and bonus courses? (The filters and pivot and VBA etc courses)

    1. OK, to clarify, and apologize for any confusion, although I myself was a little confused, the list of out of order courses is apparently only under my profile then my courses. If I look at the courses link next to Dashboard at the top of the page then they are in order. Sorry about that. I would have gone back and edited my initial comment but that function seems to not be here yet. Thanks!

      1. Hey Eric,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We’ll take a look and see how we can reorder the course list on your profile tab. I’m not sure how it is being sorted now, but the order does look weird.

As you mentioned, the order on the main Courses page should be correct for Elevate. The default sort is alphabetical, and that is why we have the numbers in front of the course names for Elevate.

The courses in the bonus section are also in alphabetical order, and we’ll take a look at how to reorder them based on skill level. That’s a great idea!

I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying focus and dark modes. 👍

Please let us know if you have any other questions or see any other issues. We really appreciate it.

Thanks again and have a great weekend! 🙂

      1. Hi Bob,
It’s great to hear from you. You can post questions to specific problems in the Elevate Community Forum.

I’m not sure I fully understand your question. So let me know if you still have questions. Thanks! 🙂

    1. Hi David,
Just to clarify, are you saying you want to send a snippet of one of our course videos to your co-workers?

If so, your co-workers would also need to have an account/access to the same courses. We do have team packages available for our Elevate Excel Training Program.

With that said, I don’t believe there is a way to send specific snippets of a video. At least not yet. I think it’s a great idea and something we will definitely look into. I could see this being valuable for posting questions in the community forum and linking to a specific time mark in a video.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks again! 🙂

  28. Is there a way to click a button and just send a snip of a video so if a user wants to know how to do a certain task, I could just email that to the user?

    1. Hi Catherine,
I’m so excited to hear this!! Thank you for the nice feedback, and for taking the time to review the platform.

The migration has been quite a journey with plenty of challenges, so it’s great to hear the positive feedback. And we have a lot more features and enhancements planned for the future, which I can’t wait to share with everyone.

Thanks again and have a nice weekend! 🙂

    1. Hi Pam,
This is a great idea! We don’t have a way to do that yet, but we can probably make it happen on this new platform.

Would you want the entire transcript, or just a summary of the main points covered in the lesson?
