  1. Hi,
Please excuse if this is so basic that I should know the answer, but…

When I try to re-open the PPT file (Excel file is already open) I get a window with a message that notifies me the file contains links, and to either update links or cancel. Now I already know this, so how do I turn off that “MS PP Security Notice”? or can I? I am on a standalone computer and nobody has access to it but me.

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

    1. Hi Steve,

      Great question! 🙂

If the links are to files on your computer, you could add the folder locations of those links to the Trusted Locations in the Trust Center. The steps to get there are below, beginning at the “File” tab in PowerPoint’s ribbon.

File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings… > Trusted Locations

There are additional options within the Trust Center Settings that may be more suitable depending on your setup.

Let us know if that takes care of the pop-up, or if you need additional assistance. Have a great day! 🙂
